EUCINF Showcases Research Progress at JNIC 2025: Advancing Science and Cybersecurity in Europe

From 4–6 June 2025, EUCINF participated in the 10th National Cybersecurity Research Conference (JNIC), hosted by the University of Zaragoza in Spain. During the event, the University of Murcia team presented a scientific paper highlighting key advancements achieved within the EUCINF project, reinforcing its growing impact on Europe’s cybersecurity research landscape.

Driving Innovation in Cyber and Information Warfare

The presentation focused on EUCINF’s efforts to design a comprehensive operational workflow for Cyber and Information Warfare (CIW). This workflow spans the entire cycle—from data collection and analysis to strategic exploitation—and is foundational to the development of the EUCINF Toolbox, an integrated solution aimed at strengthening Europe’s resilience against emerging and complex digital threats.

Scenario Driven Development Aligned with European Priorities

A core component of the project is the implementation of three operational CIW scenarios and multiple use cases defined in close collaboration with the Spanish Ministry of Defence. These scenarios ensure that EUCINF’s technical developments align with European legal frameworks, regulatory standards, and societal expectations. By integrating operational insights with research innovation, EUCINF is contributing to a European-level CIW Toolbox with relevance at the strategic, operational, and tactical levels.

Connecting Research, Industry, and Institutions

JNIC, supported by the Spanish National Cybersecurity Institute (INCIBE), serves as a key forum for bringing together academia, industry, and public institutions. The conference fosters cross-sector collaboration, accelerates research impact, and supports the development of solutions tailored to Europe’s real cybersecurity needs.

EUCINF’s presence at JNIC 2025 reflects our commitment to bridging scientific research with operational applicability, ensuring that Europe remains at the forefront of cyber defence innovation.

👏 We extend our congratulations to the University of Murcia team for their significant contribution to the project and for helping bring cutting-edge research closer to the cybersecurity challenges facing Europe today.
