EUCINF Showcased at the EU-GUARDIAN 1st Dissemination Workshop in Sofia
On 10 April 2024, the EU-GUARDIAN 1st Dissemination Workshop took place at the historic Central Military Club in Sofia, Bulgaria, bringing together representatives from industry, academia, public institutions and the European cyber defence community. The workshop served as an important forum for exchanging knowledge on the future of intelligent automation, artificial intelligence and advanced technologies designed to strengthen Europe's cyber defence capabilities.
Throughout the event, experts explored how emerging technologies are transforming the way cyber threats are detected, analysed and managed. Discussions focused on the growing importance of AI-driven decision support, big data analytics and interoperable solutions capable of improving situational awareness and operational effectiveness in increasingly complex digital environments. The workshop also encouraged collaboration between research projects, technology providers and policy stakeholders working towards a more resilient European cybersecurity ecosystem.
As part of the workshop programme, the EUCINF project was presented by Alejandro Campos (INDRA), who introduced the project's vision, objectives and technological foundations to an audience composed of cybersecurity specialists and defence experts. His presentation highlighted EUCINF's ambition to develop an AI-driven toolbox capable of supporting the detection, analysis and mitigation of information threats through configurable applications and experimental validation environments.
The presentation also outlined how the project seeks to address the rapidly evolving challenges posed by disinformation, information manipulation and other forms of hybrid threats affecting today's digital landscape. By combining artificial intelligence, advanced analytics and flexible technological components, EUCINF aims to provide innovative capabilities that support organisations operating in demanding and dynamic information environments.
Beyond presenting its technical approach, participation in the workshop provided an excellent opportunity for the consortium to engage directly with representatives from other European initiatives, exchanging experiences and identifying potential areas for future collaboration.
